How would you write the equation if the problem has X-intercept=6 and Y=intercept= 2

Given the x-intercept is
6.

We know that the x-intercept is the point that intersect
with the x-axis.

The point intersect with the x-axis at x=
6, then the value of y is 0.

Then the point ( 6, 0) is on
the graph.

We are also given the y-intercept =
2.

Then, the line intersect with the y-axis at y= 2, then
the value of x is 0.

Then, the point ( 0, 2) is on the
graph.

Now we have two points on the graph ( 6, 0) and (0,
2)

Now we will determine the equation of the
lines.

We will calculate the
slops.

==> m =
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

==> m= ( 2/6 =
1/3

==> Now we will write the equation of the
line.

==> y-y1 = m
(x-x1)

==> y - 0 = (1/3) ( x
-6)

==> y= (1/3)x -
2
